Valerie Parent

Doctoral student in Law

Valerie Parent (LL.M, University of Montreal, A.P.D.Q 2015 Best Master's Thesis Award) is completing her thesis in Law (LL.D) under the direction of Professor Karim Benyekhlef. Her research focuses on human rights in the context of global law.

Affiliated with the Public Law Research Center of the Université de Montréal (CRDP), she acted as coordinator for JusticIA from 2019 to 2021.

She is also implicated in the Revue Thémis de l'Université de Montréal as editor and was editor-in-chief for the Revue juridique étudiante de l'Université de Montréal.

Responsible for content on the OpenUM platform of the L.R. Wilson Chair on Information Technology and eCommerce Law from 2017 to 2021, she is also a member of OpenScience UMontreal since 2020.
